Legend: Srimad Bagavadham says in detail about Lord Sri Krishna's child-hood. The Lord born to Devaki in jail was overnight sent to Gokulam to be brought up by Yasodha as her own son. He was a cowherd. His early years was spent in 'Rasa-Leela' with the Gopikas.The child killed Boothagi and Kamsa. Sri Krishna says he liberates mankind from their sins when they completely surrender to him and helps them attain perfection. He also says in Gita "abandoning all rites and duties take refuge in me alone.
