But Sri Vishnu took the form of an old man and told the boy If he went to a place called 'Varaguna-Mangai' between Sakyam and Mahendharam hills that would be the right place to do penance and to chant "Aasanadhai". The boy took the old man's word as guru's word and went to Vedha-Mangai. He located a quiet place in Varaguna-mangai and did penance chanting 'Aasanadhai' japam for long years. Finally the Lord appeared before him and granted the boon of liberation for his soul and took his abode here as the boy wished.
